Job Description
The Security Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day security operations of the IIITDM Kurnool campus. Key duties include monitoring deployed private security personnel, regular patrolling and inspection, conducting inquiries into incidents, coordinating with local police/district authorities, maintaining security records, and managing VIP/VVIP visits.
Requirements & Required Qualifications
1. Essential Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
- Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a Supervisory Capacity.
2. Desirable Criteria
- Preference given if supervisory experience included 1 year in Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) like IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills and experience in maintaining visitor pass systems, ID verification, material movement records, and Lock & Key management.
- Knowledge in Firefighting and emergency response systems.
- Knowledge of the local language.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operations & Patrols: Oversee day-to-day campus security functioning, ensure proper patrolling, and inspect duty points regularly.
- Personnel Monitoring: Supervise the performance and smooth functioning of deployed private security staff engaged through contracts.
- Inquiries & Coordination: Investigate miscreant activities/pilferage, liaise with local police on security issues or encroachment removals.
- Protocols & Documentation: Manage VIP visits, maintain relevant security files/records, and implement strict surveillance within the campus.
