Job Description
The IT Support Analyst at E.A. Sween is an “Operational Continuity Expert.” In a food distribution center, technology downtime directly impacts how quickly fresh food reaches the public. Your role is heavily weighted toward Logistics Tech—ensuring that warehouse management systems (WMS) and picking hardware are functional during peak early-morning hours.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: 3+ years providing end-user and infrastructure support.
- Technical Skills: Experience with network hardware, security administrative processes, and monitoring nightly batch schedules.
- Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Mon-Fri). Must be flexible for “on-call” rotations (approx. 1 week/month starting at 4:00 AM).
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Blue Yonder WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Exposure to Voice-Directed Picking systems or food distribution/logistics ERPs.
- Experience supporting systems within a unionized workforce.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cross-Environment Support: Provide technical assistance for office staff, manufacturing line workers, and warehouse personnel.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Troubleshoot hardware (laptops, printers, mobile devices) and manage system access/password resets.
- Network & Batch Monitoring: Identify network outages with providers and monitor nightly batch schedules, performing basic troubleshooting for failed jobs.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead the technical setup for new hires, ensuring they have the hardware and access needed from day one.
- Project Support: Assist with broader IT initiatives and document all resolutions within the company’s ticketing system.
