Frequently Asked Interview Questions
Technical Questions (Physical Design & Low Power)
- Transformers: “Can you explain the ‘Self-Attention’ mechanism in a Transformer? How does it differ from traditional RNNs?”
The attention mechanism can be simplified as:
$$\text{Attention}(Q, K, V) = \text{softmax}\left(\frac{QK^T}{\sqrt{d_k}}\right)V$$
Gen AI: “What is the difference between a GAN and a Diffusion model? When would you choose one over the other for image generation?”
Python Logic: “How would you handle a memory error when trying to load a 50GB dataset into a Python environment for preprocessing?”
Optimization: “What is ‘Overfitting,’ and how do techniques like Dropout or L2 Regularization help prevent it?”
Behavioral & Culture Questions
- Hunger to Learn: “The AI field changes every week. How do you keep yourself updated with the latest research papers or GitHub repos?”
- Problem Solving: “Tell me about a time you worked with a dataset that was ‘messy’ or incomplete. How did you ensure the model you trained was still accurate?”
- Communication: “How would you explain the concept of ‘AI Bias’ to a business stakeholder who has no technical background?”
