Job Description
The Manager – AI Center of Excellence will oversee the day-to-day operations, program execution, and facility management of the AI CoE at Vishakhapatnam. The role involves managing AI infrastructure (GPU/HPC and cloud platforms), supporting AI startups, facilitating industry-academic research collaborations, coordinating skilling and training initiatives, and implementing sectoral AI applications across healthcare, agriculture, governance, and manufacturing.
Requirements & Required Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Electronics, IT, or allied Engineering disciplines. Additional certifications in AI/ML, Cloud, or Innovation Management preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in AI operations, technology program management, incubation ecosystems, digital transformation, or CoE operations.
- Domain Expertise: Exposure to GPU/HPC infrastructure, cloud platforms, startup acceleration, hackathons, and multi-stakeholder governance (Government, Academia, Industry).
- Core Competencies: Strong operational execution, vendor management, budget tracking, technical documentation, and program reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- AI CoE Operations & Program Execution: Execute AI innovation programs, sectoral AI projects (healthcare, agriculture, smart infrastructure), and monitor project timelines with ecosystem partners.
- AI Infrastructure & Lab Operations: Manage GPU/HPC labs, cloud platforms, cybersecurity protocols, software licensing, vendor AMCs, system uptime, and inventory tracking.
- Startup & Innovation Support: Drive incubation/acceleration workflows, startup onboarding, mentoring, hackathons, Buildathons, demo days, and grant facilitation.
- Industry & Academic Coordination: Facilitate joint applied research, faculty development programs, internships, and industry-driven AI use-case deployments.
- Capacity Building & Skilling: Coordinate AI training initiatives, certifications, fellowships, and workforce development programs in collaboration with training partners.
