Job Description
As a QA Engineer within the SIMULIA R&D organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring software quality, performance, and reliability across supported operating systems.
You will review functional and enhancement specifications, create test plans, execute automated and manual GUI tests, and collaborate directly with physics R&D, software development, and application management teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
1. Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Degree: M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related computational engineering fields.
- Experience:0 to 1 year of experience.
- Academic Research:Preferred M.E./M.Tech-level research projects focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
2. Technical & Domain Skills
- Simulation & CFD Tools:Hands-on focus in CFD simulation tools such as PowerFLOW, Abaqus, Fluent, or CFX.
- Operating Systems:Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Automation & Scripting:Good understanding of Python, automation testing tools, and test environment setups.
- Communication & Soft Skills: Strong English written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in a distributed, cross-functional engineering team.
3. Preferred / Optional Skills
- Knowledge of other FEA/FEM or CAD software packages such as Ansys, Nastran, HyperMesh, ANSA, etc.

- Test Plan Creation & Feedback:Review feature enhancement specifications early and design structured test plans to evaluate simulation capabilities.
- Regression & GUI Testing:Perform manual GUI testing and incorporate test cases into the continuous regression suite.
- Multi-Platform Execution:Run and analyze regression suites across various supported operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Defect Tracking & Reporting:Log software bugs accurately, track their resolution lifecycle with developers, and document all test procedures.
