Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City, Chittoor (IIIT Sri City), an Institute of National Importance, invites applications from suitable candidates for recruitment as IT Support Personnel on an outsourcing basis. The positions aim to strengthen the campus-wide IT support team across academic buildings, classrooms, laboratories, hostels, networking, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Vacancy & Qualification Requirements

1. Senior IT Support Engineer / IT Support Engineer

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or a related discipline.
• Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant full-time experience in IT systems, networking, hardware, and technical support.
• Desirable Experience:
  • Prior experience in an educational institution or university setting.
  • Hands-on expertise with LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls, servers, LDAP directory services, CCTV, biometric access systems, and campus IT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and maintain large-scale campus networks.

2. Junior IT Support Engineer / IT Support Engineer

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in CSE, IT, ECE, or a related discipline.
• Work Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience in IT support, hardware maintenance, or networking setups.
• Freshers: Freshers possessing the requisite academic qualifications are eligible to apply.

Common Requirements (Both Roles)

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Sound fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
• Systematic problem-solving abilities and strong interpersonal teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work across academic buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and student hostels, including availability beyond normal working hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

Senior IT Support Engineer

1. Network & Infrastructure Maintenance: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and firewalls across classrooms and hostels.
2. Systems & Account Security: Manage LDAP user accounts, password resets, network authentication, security systems, and biometric devices.
3. Hardware & Asset Operations: Maintain campus hardware (desktops, printers, projectors, CCTV, PA systems), manage vendor repairs, and keep accurate IT asset and IP address records.

Junior IT Support Engineer

1. First-Level Technical Support: Provide basic troubleshooting and helpdesk support for hardware, software, user accounts, and local network issues for students, faculty, and staff.
2. Setup & Laboratory Support: Assist in desktop/printer setups, LAN cabling, RJ45 termination, classroom AV/projector connectivity, and lab maintenance.
3. Record Keeping: Help maintain hardware inventory logs, asset details, and assist senior engineers in routine preventive maintenance.
