Job Description

As a Professional Design Expert on Mercor, you will contribute directly to training visual, graphic, and UI/UX AI models.

Instead of client production work, your tasks involve crafting complex visual design prompts, rating AI-generated image/layout outputs against strict design principles, detailing spatial/color corrections, and writing gold-standard rubric explanations for model improvement.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Professional Background & Experience

• Portfolio / Work Experience: Demonstrated professional track record in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Visual Communication, Brand Identity, or Digital Art.
• Tool Proficiency: Practical expertise in industry-standard design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and modern AI generation suites (Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion).

2. Visual & Critical Skills

• Design Theory: Deep understanding of color theory, typography hierarchy, layout composition, grid alignment, and branding standards.
• Analytical Writing: Ability to critique AI output with precise design terminology (e.g., explaining why a layout fails visual hierarchy, padding consistency, or contrast ratio requirements).
• Language Skills: Native or fluent English proficiency for writing clear evaluation rubrics.
