Job Description

The Manager – Finance will lead day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, banking operations, and MIS reporting, while also overseeing end-to-end procurement, vendor contracts, general administration, and facility operations. This hands-on multi-functional role requires managing government grants, CSR funds, Utilisation Certificates (UCs), and maintaining robust internal financial controls.

Requirements & Required Skills

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or MBA (Finance). CA (Inter) or CMA (Inter) credentials are highly preferred.
  • Experience Level: 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounts, procurement, and administrative operations.
  • Domain Knowledge: Working experience in Section 8 companies, government innovation bodies, startup incubators, or CSR-funded institutions.
  • Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, statutory compliance (GST, TDS, IT, PF, ESI, Companies Act), government procurement norms (RFPs/RFQs), and audit coordination.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Finance & Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, vendor disbursements, monthly/year-end closures, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
  2. Grant & Fund Management: Administer Government grants and CSR funding pipelines, preparing timely Utilisation Certificates (UCs) and financial reports for funding partners.
  3. Statutory Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance under Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax. Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits.
  4. End-to-End Procurement: Issue RFPs/RFQs/tenders, evaluate vendor bids, negotiate contract SLAs, and maintain complete audit trails for purchase orders.
  5. Startup Financial Support: Assist incubatees with basic financial modeling, financial health checks, and investment readiness data.
