You will act as a bridge between the technical IT world and the operational business world. This role involves full-lifecycle product management—from identifying a business need and implementing the software to training users and providing ongoing “cradle-to-grave” support for those systems.
Requirements
- Education: BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience (specifically open to fresh graduates).
- Technical Background: * Prior experience or internships as an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Programmer.
- Experience supporting various IT systems and understanding issue resolution processes.
- Knowledge of 3rd party resolution tools (e.g., Unisys).
- Functional Skills: * Participation in a Full Life-Cycle Application Implementation (Requirements → Design → Testing → Production Support).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a Matrix Team Structure.
- Soft Skills: Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to translate complex technical jargon for non-technical business personnel.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Solution Support: Manage and support IT initiatives that design and implement creative technology solutions for business operations.
- Business Engagement: Act as a “Trusted IT Adviser” for business management, sponsors, and key application owners in Chennai and globally.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Responsible for the health of business applications from conception to transition; this includes training, ongoing maintenance, and eventual technology migration.
- Standard Adherence: Ensure all IT contract deliverables and maintenance tasks strictly adhere to Flowserve’s global policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Continuous Learning: Proactively learn both the technical and functional skills required to understand the specific business operations of flow control.
